Devon is owned by me and co-bred with Matthew Proctor

Oh Devon, the dog I never knew I needed. Devon is from my first breeding of Kira and Bogart. As fate would have it, Devon was the only surviving puppy of six. The litter was heartbreaking to say the least and I had no intention of keeping him. I had never even stacked him or looked at him thinking that he may stay as I had detached myself from the whole situation and told myself ‘never again’. After a dear friend came over for a quick trip, she asked me to stack him so she could have a look at him, and boy were we both surprised! This little black puppy boy that had fought the odds and survived was STUNNING! First time stacking on the table and he acted like an old pro! It was from that point that I knew he would be staying and thats there was something special about him. Devon helped me heal not only from the loss of his littermates but through other tough times that were soon to follow. Devon is always there for a laugh and smile when needed, and even when not!

Devon has the absolute best temperament and has been the ‘big brother and teacher’ to two litters since he worked his way into my heart. Devon loves playing with puppies, children and adults all the same! This boy has a future as a therapy dog for sure! I’m sure agility will be in his future as well considering how fast and agile he is – never missing an opportunity for Zoomies or jumping over one of his housemates!

Devon has taken some time off from the show ring to mature but is only lacking 2 single points to finish his championship! Be on the lookout this summer when he gets back into action at several upcoming specialty shows!

Achievements:

Big News! Devon finishes his AKC Championship by going Winners Dog/Best of Winners for his 4th major at the Houston World Series of Dog Shows July 22, 2023! To top of the already exciting day, Devon goes Bred By Exhibitor Group 1 and got to play in Best In Show Bred By Exhibitor Ring! What a way to finish! To say I am proud would be an understatement! 

Devon started his show career in April 2022 at just over 6 months of age.

All of Devon’s Championship points have been awarded from the Bred By class.
