Marco

Marco is owned by myself and co-owner Donna Jaruzel of Brandilyn English Cocker Spaniels.

Marco and littermate Rocco came to us from breeder Lorena Sorze, Brilliant History English Cockers, in Tropea, Italy. Both Donna and I watched Lorena’s lovely dog ‘Shiny’ (Coevenant American Style) for several years, messaging each other photos back and forth of the beautiful dog, before Donna finally reached out to Lorena. Once we heard that her current litter was sired by Shiny our hearts were set on owning one of his beautiful sons! Little did we know that we would be bringing home not just one, but TWO little Italians! Both boys have been nothing short or pure joy and have the most wonderful, outgoing temperaments that are sure to bring a laugh and smile to all that they meet!

Marco and I are still learning to work together as a team in the ring and he still has some maturing to do. Marco will be shown selectively this year as a special with hopes to really get going in 2024!

Achievements:

Marco finished his AKC Championship on May 27, 2023 under Judge Elaine Lessig at the Hendersonville Kennel Club Show in Fletcher, NC.

Reserve Winners Dog under Judge Dr. Steve Herman at the Sunshine State English Cocker Spaniel Club’s first specialty show! This was a beautiful, large line up of dogs with the Winners Dog actually going Best of Breed from the classes!

Marco also won his large 12-18 month dog class under Breeder Judge Frank Kane(UK) at the 2023 American Spaniel Club show

Marco starts his specials career off in a big way!

July 28, 2023 – Seaboard English Cocker Spaniel Club Supported Entry – Breeder Judge Karen Whitfield – Marco goes Select Dog for a his first Grand Championship major (5pts!) under a lovely entry of specials! This was Marco’s first time in the breed ring as a special and I look forward to getting him out in the ring again soon!
